Hello :)
I am feeling a bit better today. Thank goodness. I hate being sick - I know, everyone does. I did my weigh in this morning, and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't gain!!! Yay! I am down .88 lbs. from last week. I know I can do better, and I plan to, but for now I am happy that I didn't gain. So my weight now is 184.8 lbs. I am so close to 20 lbs. lost. I know that I will get there soon. I am realizing even more lately that I need to work on my positive attitude. I am choosing to let things get me off track and I am giving negative things too much power over me. I plan to spend a lot more time visualizing my life exactly how I want it. I am going to live with more of an attitude of gratitude. I am pretty positive usually, and I am very grateful for all of the things in my life - but I need to focus on the good more. I need to let the past go and move away from negativity. I am starting to sound rambly again :) But my point is, get rid of the negative and embrace the positive. I guess that's all for now. I'm glad you are feeling better Cara. Ya know, I learned that when we are sick and despite that we may eat less while sick, our bodies conserve energy to fight off the illness, thus no weight loss (at least that's my story, and I'm stickin' to it lol).

Glad you're feeling better Cara! And you're right...it's all about the attitude! I didn't have a great weekend calorie or exercise wise, i couldn't run because of my injury, and i went on a mini-vacation with some friends and did NOT stick to plan...but i had a great time! I'm back on track with the food, and i'm going to jump on my treadmill shortly and work out for the first time. No beating myself up, just postive attitude that i'll get myself back on track :-)

ReplyDeleteMel - I really liked that post. I try not to get to caught up with the number on the scale, but I know when I am giving it my all, and when I am not! I totally agree with your theory too :)
Sandy - Hope your mini-vacation was a lot of fun and that you are feeling better. We seem to both be coming up on the 20 lb mark. Can't wait to celebrate with you too!!!
